HERE ARE THE BASICS:

1. Open Chrome or Firefox. Make sure you updated your browser. Close all apps and windows. Turn off anything in your house that might be competing for internet signal.

2. Click your stream link. Enter your name/band name. Choose your mic and video source. (You’ll choose computer camera and mic or select audio interface/mic, USB mic, webcam, etc). Note: If you’re using internal mic on a Mac, go under Preferences, open “Sound”. On Input, unclick “Use ambient noise reduction”.

3. If you are doing a workshop or song swap, you NEED HEADPHONES
IMPORTANT: ONCE YOU’RE INSIDE THE STUDIO, click on mic/cam button, which will take you to settings. Select “audio”, then UN-CHECK BOX FOR ECHO CANCELLATION. If you don’t your audio will sound broken. This is similar to “enable original sound” in Zoom.
THEN UN-CHECK BOX FOR AUTOMATICALLY ADJUST MIC VOLUME. You’ll see a fader. Leave it where it is. If you end up sounding too loud or quiet, we’ll let you know via chat, and you can go back to settings and move the fader down or up. Make sure “stereo audio” box is unchecked.
